Duties and accountabilities will extend but not be limited to the following;
· Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations;
· Monitor and manage record all financial transactions according to company policies and regulations, IFRS;
· Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts;
· Audit financial transactions and documents;
· Cash flow management and the management of current liabilities;
· Provide the team with necessary training and coaching to perform their tasks and assignments;
· Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines;
· Supervision of employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting;
· Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
· Implement requirements of Government Regulatory Authority, FTA, and Auditors;
· Review tax returns (VAT) to ensure accuracy of tax returns;
· Assist internal and external auditors during the auditors period.
· Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
Requirements
· Work experience as an Accountant (preferably in Real Estate, but not mandatory)
· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IFRS
· Familiarity with FTA’s VAT provisions and compliance.
· Hands-on experience with accounting software (preferably 1С, but not mandatory)
· Excellent MS Excel capabilities
· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
· BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
· Accounting & Finance Certifications (CPA, CIMA, ACCA ) is a plus
